TODAY'S BETTER LATE THAN JAKE
In 2024, following numerous changes to the original Burgundy Brothers Band, the current group of solid musicians connected.
Myself, Doc on guitar, Dave Prez on bass, Adam on keys, Eddie Gray on drums, Stitch on sax and our newest man, Jamiles on percussion .
The “soul jazz” music we play is a groove-oriented, funky style that makes you want to hear, see, and feel more,
and when we’re cookin’ - look out man - the good times are startin' to roll!!

PRE BETTER LATE THAN JAKE - "THE BURGUNDY BROTHERS BAND" 2015-2023
Ten years ago, in the Marigny section of New Orleans, a jam was in session, echoing down Burgundy St.
With Rian Thum on Hammond organ/keys, and myself on guitar, a tradition of playing music we loved evolved: soulful, bluesy tunes - the good stuff!
When Charlie Yeadon, on trumpet, finally joined a couple of years later, the style of the band became refined and defined!
